Pricing & Policies

Your first lesson is a free trial lesson to see if we are a good fit for each other. After the first free lesson, lessons are $105 per month (for weekly 30 minute lessons). If you start in the middle of the month, I will prorate the cost accordingly. Epic charter students have a discount and only pay $100 a month. Families who have two or more students enrolled with me also receive a discount and only pay $100 a month per student.

Pricing

Illness

If a student has a fever or is feeling sick, please keep the student home. I ask that you be mindful of my other students and me when you or your student is sick. Please contact me by phone, 405 778 3425, if you need to cancel a same-day lesson. See the next section for information regarding cancellation and makeup lessons.

Cancellation

If you need to cancel for any non-emergency situation, please try to do so at least one month in advance. If scheduling works for both of us, I will offer make-up lessons around student vacations. If you know in advance that you may be out multiple weeks in a month, you might consider paying by week for that month.

In the case of student illness, please notify me as soon as possible. I will always do my best to reschedule missed lessons within the same payment period. If scheduling does not allow for a makeup lesson within the same pay period, I will not refund lessons.

In the case of an extended illness, family emergency, death in the family, or other events at my digression, I will prorate and discount the cost of lessons the following month to make up for the missed lessons.

If it is my illness or emergency, and it is not possible to make up the lesson, I will refund that lesson, or prorate and discount the following month, whichever the student prefers.

Ending Lessons

I reserve the right to terminate lessons with a student, for whatever reason, at any time. Any prepaid lessons will be refunded. Reasons for termination include, but are not limited to, habitual cancellation of lessons and/or habitual lack of practice. Transparency and open communication are best, so if I were to consider terminating lessons, I would talk with you first either in person or on the phone.

Likewise, you may terminate lessons with me, for whatever reason, at any time. I will refund any prepaid lessons. I ask that you please talk with me first about any issue you have.

I also offer two pay by week options. Students may pay $30 for 30 minute lessons, if they prefer not to pay by month. As another option, at my digression, adults and older teens with at least one year of piano experience may meet for 45 minutes lessons. I charge $40 for 45 minutes lessons. Adult students may meet with me either every week, or every other week. For both of these weekly options of payment, I cannot always offer lessons during my busy hours from 4-6pm.

Holidays and Summer Breaks

For the week of Thanksgiving, I will close Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Any students with lessons on those days of the week will pay $80 tuition for that month. For December 2025, I will close the 22nd through January 2nd. Tuition will $80 for the month of December.

During the summer months of June and July I expect that many students will go on vacations. I will still however be available for full time lessons. I have found that students frequently progress more in the summer without homework and other extracurriculars. Students may pay by week over the summer around various vacations. I ask that students take at least twice a month over the summer to guarantee their spot in the coming school year, and to stay sharp at the piano. I am unable to stay in business if many of my students pause lessons over the summer, so, if a student pauses over the summer, I cannot guarantee a spot for them in the coming school year.

I will occasionally take vacation days. My wife and I are board game nerds and like to attend board game conventions. Whenever I plan to take a vacation day, I will send out an email to whichever students my absence affects. Tuition will be reduced to $80 that month for those students.
