Pricing & Policies
Your first lesson is a free trial lesson to see if we are a good fit for each other. After the first free lesson, lessons are $120 per month. Monthly tuition is based on a yearly rate of $1,080 per academic year, September through May. If you start lessons in the middle of the month, I will prorate the cost accordingly. Epic Charter Students and families with two or more students enrolled will receive a discounted rate of $110 a month per student. There is no added cost for either the Winter or Spring Recitals.
Pricing
Illness
If a student has a fever or is feeling sick, please keep the student home. I ask that you be mindful of my other students and me when you or your student is sick. Please contact me by phone, 405 778 3425, if you need to cancel a same-day lesson. See the next section for information regarding cancellation and makeup lessons.
Cancellation
If you need to cancel for any non-emergency situation, please try to do so one month in advance. For illnesses, please try to give more than 24 hours notice. If more than 24 hours notice is given, I will offer a reschedule. I do my best to find reschedule times that work for both of us. If you cancel within 24 hours of a lesson, in most cases, I will not offer a reschedule. I do not refund students for missed lessons.
In the case of an extended illness, family emergency, death in the family, or other events at my discretion, I will prorate and discount the cost of lessons the following month to make up for absences.
Occasionally, lessons must be canceled due to inclement weather. Cancelations due to inclement weather are factored into monthly tuition. If you ever feel unsafe driving to lessons, and I have not already canceled, please let me know! I will do my best to find a reschedule time.
If it is my illness or emergency, and it is not possible to make up the lesson, I will refund that lesson, or prorate and discount the following month, whichever the student prefers.
Ending Lessons
I reserve the right to terminate lessons with a student, for whatever reason, at any time. The rest of the month's tuition will be refunded. Reasons for termination include, but are not limited to, habitual cancellation of lessons, habitual late payments, and/or habitual lack of practice. Transparency and open communication are best, so if I were to consider terminating lessons, I would talk with you first.
Likewise, you may terminate lessons with me, for whatever reason, at any time. I will refund the rest of the month. I ask that you please talk with me first about any issue you have.
I accept cash, checks, Venmo, and Paypal. I am also a registered Epic Charter Schools Vendor. Please make all checks out to “Isaac Reel.” My Venmo account is @ReelMusicStudioOKC. My Paypal account is ReelMusicStudioOKC@gmail.com.
In some cases, I also offer bi-monthly lessons. These are $60 per month. These lessons are reserved for older students, typically adults, with at least a year of piano experience. I do not offer bi-monthly lessons after 3pm.
Holidays and Summer Breaks
Monthly tuition is based on a yearly rate of $1,080 per academic year, September through May. The monthly rate of $120 is an average of those months. Every fall, we will take a break Wednesday through Friday of Thanksgiving week. Every December we will take a 2 week break from just before Christmas to just after New Years. For 2026, this will be Dec 21st through Jan 1st, resuming lessons on January 4th. Monthly tuition remains the same for November and December since it is an average of the academic year.
During the summer months of June, July, and August, many students go on vacations. To accommodate, students may switch to a weekly rate of $30 per 30 minute lesson, or switch to bi-monthly lessons during those summer months. Many students continue full time over the summer and work with me to reschedule around vacations. I am happy to be flexible in these months to accommodate student schedules.
I ask that all students maintain at least bi-monthly lessons throughout the summer. I have found, especially for students under 18, that continuing with lessons over the summer really helps maintain piano skills. Many students progress faster over the summer without other activities.
Outside of holiday breaks, I will occasionally take vacations or be out for doctors appointments. Whenever I plan to be out, I will send out an email to whichever students my absence affects and prorate tuition accordingly (-$30 per lesson canceled).
